On his way to a job interview, 29-year-old Kanpur electrician Rajiv Sharma's life took a drastic turn. He stumbled and fell onto the rails while boarding a moving train. Before anyone could pull him away, the locomotive ran over his legs. He is currently fighting for his life after being taken to the hospital in severe condition.
Rajiv has already had one amputation, and he urgently needs several surgeries to stabilize his health, prevent infection, and get ready for prosthesis. The entire cost of treatment, surgery, intensive care unit care, and post-operative therapy is estimated by doctors to be approximately ₹8 lakh.
His mother is bedridden, and his father is a retired factory worker, thus he comes from a lowly family. Rajiv was the sole provider for the household.
In addition to running the risk of becoming permanently disabled, he might not make it through the next few weeks without prompt assistance. However, he has a fair chance of getting better, moving around, and leading a respectable life provided he receives the right treatment.
💔 Rajiv may have a second chance at life if you help him today. Every rupee counts, so please donate.
