The pride of her little Jharkhand village is Pooja Kumari. She walked miles to school, studied under kerosene lights, and passed her state entrance exam to get admission to a government medical college. She was the daughter of a poor farmer.
But even with all of her accomplishments, her journey can come to an end before it really starts.
Her first year at college costs 1.2 lakh rupees, which includes books, living expenses, and hostel fees. The family of five is barely supported by her father's meager ₹6,000 monthly income. Scholarships have been postponed and loans have been rejected.
Pooja aspires to help rural populations without access to quality healthcare, which is why she wants to become a doctor.
With your aid, she can pursue her study, realize her ambition, and become the much-needed doctor in her village.
🎓 Encourage Pooja. Join her on her adventure. Assist in educating a potential healer.
