After the Fire: Neighbors Raise $18,000 to Rebuild a Family’s Home in Queens

The Morales family lost everything in a catastrophic apartment fire in Queens late one night.  They swiftly started a campaign on our platform, requesting assistance with food, clothing, and temporary shelter after being left with nothing more than the clothes on their backs. 

The neighbourhood reacted right away.  Friends, neighbours, and even strangers collected $9,000 in less than 48 hours of Emergency Fundraising.  The campaign raised $18,000 by the end of the week for Fire Disaster Relief, which was plenty to assist them in rebuilding and getting back on their feet.
