
From Hunger to Hope – How Crowdfunding Provided School Meals for 400+ Kids
Children went to school daily hungry in one of the city's most food-insecure communities. A grassroots non-profit began modestly by distributing fifty meals every week. But it swiftly expanded with the help of crowdsourcing. Today, more than 400 youngsters are fed daily through their nutrition program with the help of fundraisers and donors. The kids are healthier and more attentive, and their school attendance has increased. A warm lunch, which appeared to be a simple deed, was a pivotal moment for a whole town.
